Our biggest asset here at Naveen’s Glen is the natural habitat we are surrounded by. Its picturesque landscape, wide-open spaces and abundant flora and fauna provide an ideal opportunity to those who are seeking to explore themselves as well as the outdoors.

To call this home is nothing short of a privilege, and like all privileges this too comes with great responsibility. It is therefore our responsibility to ensure that while we venture into forests for recreation and learning, we must respect the rights of all living beings and understand the hugely intelligent and interconnected ecological system that we depend upon for our existence. Among others, some reasons for the weakening of our forests include unethical tourism practices. It is therefore on each of us to ensure that our interaction with the forest is beneficial not only for us, but also for the numerous species that call it home.

ETHICAL BIRDWATCHING – Our method of birdwatching ensures that we do not harm the birds or alter their natural habitat and way of being in any possible way. Instead, we take a step closer into their world using nonintrusive methods. For this reason, we strictly refrain from commercial bird hides that lure birds by offering unnatural foods for short periods of time through the year. We also refrain from using harsh flashlights and audio playbacks of birdcalls.

NATURE HEALING – The healing power of nature recognizes the bodies inherent ability to heal itself, starting at a cellular level. To make the most of this basic function of our body, we begin by being aware of our natural surroundings in a meditative state.

NATURE HIKES – Sattal and its surroundings are ideal for day hikes ranging from 1 – 6 hours. These hikes take you through picturesque villages and mixed forests, offering panoramic views, while presenting a great opportunity to develop outdoor skills and pick up on mountain manners.

LAKE ACTIVITIES – Experience rowing your own boat or balancing a kayak on the still waters of the Sattal Lake.
